Ring San Andres Formation Sterling Silver ring Size - 7.25

This handmade Sterling Silver ring is set with a Dolomite and Anhydrate stone from an oil well in Andrews County, Texas. In the late 1970s and early 80s they drilled many wells in the Permian Basin, a oil field area in West Texas and New Mexico, searching for oil and gas under the ground. On many of these wells they would spend 10ths of thousands of dollars extra to core the well with a hollow drill bit to bring large core sample to the surface to study the formation rock. Current day technology has greatly reduced this drill practice besides the cost prohibits such activity.

 

We will able to acquire soem of this rock and have been making gifts from the oil patch for years now. Tell your friends you own a portion of an oil well in West Texas, then show them the ring for proof.
